Msgr. Gerard Kalumba was born on 1st June, 1951 and ordained priest on 18th May, 1975 in the Archdiocese of Kampala. He was first appointed in Kiganda Parish – now Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese and in January 1977 he was seconded to Katigondo National Seminary to teach. To further his studies in the Bible, he was sent to Rome in September 1978 and completed in 1982 after which he was seconded to Alokolom National Major Seminary.
In January 1986 Msgr. Gerard Kalumba was transferred to the National Seminary Ggaba as a lecturer and Vice Rector. Three years later he was appointed as acting Rector in the same seminary from where he was elevated to Rectorship from 1992 to 2001. After his leave in Australia from 2001 to 2002, He was appointed Cathedral Administrator of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Lubaga from 2002 to 2006 and later appointed Parish Priest of Wakiso Parish and Episcopal Vicar Wakiso from 2007 to 2008.
In 2008 he was appointed Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish and Episcopal Vicar Kampala Vicariate to date
We are honored to have Msgr. Joseph Mugambe, the longest-serving priest at Christ the King Parish from the Mill Hill Fathers.
He was born in 1925 and ordained to priesthood on 2nd October 1955. His commitment and Service in the Parish is highly admired and appreciated.
Rev. Fr. Nnyanzi Stephen was born on 07th August 1961 to the late Specioza and the late Timoteo Kayanja of Bulugu Village in Kkonge Catholic Parish.
For his education, he attended the following schools: St. Kizito Bulugu Primary School and Nswanjere Junior Seminary for the primary education; Kisubi Minor Seminary and St. Mary’s College Kisubi for the secondary education.
He had his priestly formation at St. Mbaaga Major Seminary Ggaba, and at the Pontifical University Rome.
He was ordained a deacon on 20th December 1987 at Lubaga Cathedral by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga, who, the following year on 17th July 1988 ordained him a priest at his home sub-parish church of St. Kizito Bulugu in Kkonge Parish.
After the priestly ordination, he was appointed a staff member to St. Mbaaga’s Major Seminary, Ggaba from where he went to train as a science teacher at Makerere University.
He has served in the following schools as a teacher and/school chaplain: Kisubi Minor Seminary, St. Joseph’s Girls S.S.S. Nsambya, St. Augustine’s College Wakiso and St.Mary’s College Kisubi.
Lastly, he served as Deputy Principal at St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi before his current appointment to Christ the King Parish in May 2025.
Rev. Fr. Victor Mubiru is a Catholic priest ordained on 10th August 2019 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Lubaga. His priestly formation began at St. Kizito Minor Seminary, Nandere (Luweero) and continued at Uganda Martyrs’ National Major Seminary, Alokolum (Gulu), before completing his studies at St. Paul’s National Major Seminary, Kinyamasika (Fort Portal).
Since his ordination, Rev. Fr. Victor Mubiru has served in pastoral ministry at St. Peter’s Nsambya Catholic Parish and Christ the King Parish, Kampala. He is currently in charge of the Youth Apostolate, where he provides spiritual guidance, mentorship, and leadership to young people, fostering faith formation, moral development, and active participation in Church life.
