St. Joseph's Choir

The choir was originally known as “Missionary Choir”. It was started in 1978 by Rev. Sr. Thereza Caroline of Mary Mother of the Church Congregation, Lira. It began as a small choir of about 10 (ten) members with Mr. Phillip Ochama as its Music Director. In 1982 the number of the choir members rose to 30 with Sr. Thereza as the Chairperson.

In 1990 the name of the Choir changed to St. Joseph Missionary Choir under the leadership of Mr. Aloysius Bbaale as the Chairman.

In 1992 under the leadership of Mr. Jawaconga George, the choir changed its name to St. Joseph and it has been known by that name ever since.

The choir is currently under the leadership of Mr. Alicabiaku Silvano with Mr Kivumbi Edward as the music Director.
