Franciscan Choir
Franciscan Choir is a voluntary, charitable organization consisting of a group of both young and old talented musicians who have chosen to serve the Lord in Christ the King Church with their Voices.
The Franciscan Choir was founded on 31 March 1995 (Palm Sunday). Its formation followed the discontinuity of the Good News Choir. It started with 28 members and currently has 69.
The choir has a board of trustees who advise the choir on various issues and welcome anyone who wishes to join this board.
Our Mission
Our calling is to use our musical gifts to tell about God’s abundant love. We believe that we are each uniquely gifted by God to do the work of music, dance and drama ministry. We acknowledge that our gifts come from God and that our joy in music also comes from God.
We animate Mass on Sunday at 11:00am
We participate in different events involving music and dance; these include: –
- Weddings
- Baptism services
- Funeral Services
- Anniversaries
- Any other celebrations/ functions.
The Choir meets every week to learn and practice songs of praise in preparation for Sunday Mass and other Church activities.
